Inseosite on the prowl again
Michael got at least one referrer spam from the Inseosite spammer today. A domain owned by Inseosite, in other words.
IP address:
82.207.203.87
User agent:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows NT; DigExt)
I saw that user agent earlier on this month, from a rackspace webserver IP address. Should probably be blocked, it certainly was a bot:
65.61.160.162
I’ve seen very few real users with that user agent, looking at several logs, including large logs for March.
That user agent could be worth banning for a while, at least.
The domain name doesn’t always serve pages. I’ve had some errors. But I pinged the address, and it pings the same server as at least one of the domains with the German numbers names.
I won’t be more specific, because this is filthy stuff.

I also had a visit today from that same subnet (82.207) showing the “Seopolo” agent, and several scans from a digext agent, this time going through Alestra.
