How to get your blog banned for spamming
I was searching for something, and came across a post mentioning a tool suspected for spamming. That site is actually no more than a few videos detailing a rather simple process (for us bloggers).
I did some checking on it, and finally found another tool that says it’s automating this process. I’ve renamed it:
How to get your blog banned for spamming
Blogging IS a great way to get your stuff indexed by search engines. They love blog content. It gets updated often, so the robots come check every day.
But making spammy blog posts is something that’s getting more and more risky these days. You could get your blog yanked by Blogger, or your domain banned by Google.

I’ve come across a weird blog. lol
In the feed reader (I use firefox for that), the blog entries are all spam posts to do with gambling, etc. Not related to the ’supposed’ blog content theme at all. Finally I clicked through one of the spammy entries and the post that shows on the website is TOTALLY different and looks quite legit and normal, and is on theme.
So the feed reader sees one thing, but what’s actually displayed on the blog is another.
Any idea on what’s happening with that?

Not a clue, unless the feed’s used for something to get spammy links listed on search engines?
So maybe the feed is fake, or comprised of posts from more than one blog?
Can you shoot me an e-mail with the URL of the blog and feed in question? Will e-mail you first.

Actually my mistake. I was pulling the *COMMENTS* feed on my fead reader. I didn’t realize that until just now. So the comments are all spammy on this blog, but the blog itself is displaying normally in both the reader and onsite and the content is non-spam.
My mistake - doh - sorry about the confusion.

Heh, could be useful. I’ll add the comment feed to my reader… A really good spam comment feed could be an early warning system. Good find, Terry!
