Ants in the computer

It’s spring in Norway, and we have a bit of an ant problem right now. Just as I was turning the computer on, I saw an ant darting into the computer.

As most geeks, I usually don’t screw the top on completely, so there was room to sneak in there. I just hope the ant gets out of there before something unfortunate happens, to both computer and ant.

I wouldn’t worry about them unless they start building a nest in there. Or they start biting. The rare times it rains here we have some little black ants that move indoors. They run in and out of my computer and don’t cause a problem. Luckily they don’t bite. My computer is far more open than yours. The front face plate and one side aren’t even attached and two hard drives are comming out the side. It can’t get much geekier than that, but it wouldn’t make a good nest either.
