Call to legislators
Bird calls for action against the proxies on the internet, with Alestra leading the bunch. She’s sick and tired of the strain the spammers are putting her server through, and feels we should call legislators etc to start a process regarding harassment and threat to national security because of the proxies.
I dislike much of the over the top national security stuff that is going on, but open proxies are definatly something that should be considered a national security threat. Anything can go on through them and would be much harder to track. How about the RIAA, I wonder how much music downloading goes on through open proxies. Get them on the case and we will have some laws pretty quick.
Uh, you know the RIAA has no sense of proportion, right? So send them down that path, and they might take the whole internet down with them?
I am sure they would like to. It allows downloads so it must be stopped.
