I agree with 419 anti-scam. Unfortunately, the authorities don't seem to care too much about catching these internet based crooks.

Here in the UK the police have even given up on investigating credit card fraud due to a lack of resources. I guess it's just open season now for these scammers.

In deed a useful database. More letters in, less possibility to be a victim. I did not belive it when i found out that Barrister Johnson Frank Madu (he sent me a letter and told me i was a next of kin) not only had sent me a next of kin note, but there was listed 7 or 8 others similar letters from him!

Thanks to StorOslo Sikkerhetstjeneste and their database. I donated $5 in happyness :-), it could have been much much worse, since i had a real relative that died in the same year the letter pointed at. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

Imagine the time and resources that would be devoted to prosecuting scam artists if they happened to be perpetrating audio or video piracy..

What's required is an international task force.. an online anti-fraud organisation that people can contact, and who actively pursue scammers and publicise their work.

The more publicity generated about these fraudsters, the harder it will be for them to sink their teeth into another victim.. and this site and others like it serve as a public information service. Keep up the good work!
