Stupid SEO

Here’s a guy who says he’s a SEO. Yet he referrer spams his main domain.

Shakes head…

Update September 18:

I’ve removed the name, since he’s REALLY sorry he spammed, and wovs never to do it again.

BTW, he used PRstorm, without being aware of the riks.

Nobody told him Google could (and did) ban his domains.

He used referrer spamming on his MAIN domains!

He wishes other people would NOT use PRstorm, because it really isn’t worth the agony!

I thought most web spammers think they are professional SEOs.

    Guffaws…

oh man … what have i done now! i didn’t realize what exactly this new program was that i bought.

i’m horrified … it’s deleted off my hard drive and you won’t be seeing any of my url’s in your stats.

crawling back into my shell now. :(

I think you should send an e-mail to Google and grovel. Tell them you’ll never ever do it again, and ask kindly that they reinclude your sites in the index. They’re already gone, you see.

And it would help if you were to warn other SEO’s about that program.

    Thanks Ann.

You all are probably laughing, but you have no idea how awful and humiliated i feel. i take pride in my seo, i have many clients who have great results for tough terms … all with genuine link building and on page seo work. the domains i was “testing” on were my own …. how stupid it was … a friend meaning well recommened it, but he probably didn’t spend too much time looking into it as he’s a decent seo. i didn’t think much of it … i’m going to devote a portion of my site to slamming these apps that don’t really tell you what it is they are doing.

as you pointed out … i didn’t know what i got into … i’m not a “black hat” who goes registering his domains with fake names … i felt i have nothing to hide.

sweet how now this page is now so popular for my own name … there goes my livelyhood … and now my families REAL address is listed in your wiki … i can look forward to expecting a brick thrown through my windows while we are at church sunday morning … guess i’ll have to move the kids playroom into the cellar. :(

With the level of humility you’re showing here, I seriously doubt anti-spammers will give you any grief. At least not my posse (I don’t know every casual reader here, though). The spammers I’m not so sure of. Lately they strike me as more aggressive than the anti-spammers. They’re perfectly able to find your contact info even if I remove that page, though. So maybe you should get a new domain to do your slamming on?

true … hey … great beginnings for a new site!

And/or get a P.O. Box, that looks less slimy than those registration services (which I admit I use myself). When chongqed.org has really repentant spammers (that don’t start with threats) contact us we usually can work out something. Everyone makes mistakes. How we deal with them depends on the situation. Be sure to let us know when you get your “slamming these apps” page up.
