Prstorm still on Adwords
Search Engines Web complained about Google giving the wrong signals on Matt Cutts’ post on the Jagger update.
Prstorm was on top of the second page of what could include any number of bad Adwords advertisers on the search term Link Popularity.
Matt, can you PLEASE get a top Adwords exec to take your call?
I don’t agree with SEW’s conclusion that Google should stop banning for linkspamming, but I do think they should stop taking spammers’ money!

Ann … I’m not so sure Google really cares to do this. It’s really like search/adsense are 2 different companies at Google and that’s probably a good thing.
If you think about it … they would blur the lines between what’s acceptable if they weren’t.
For example … buying text links in bulk to boost serps is a no-no in google’s eyes, but you still see ads to buy links. Are they obligated to destroy any business model they please because they don’t like the product they sell or how it effects their search business? Why not ban Yahoo and MSN from advertising at the same time?
I’m not so sure they can do that … selling cocaine is illegal, but buying links? i don’t think so and to be honest, i rather google not try to be a judge/jury/executioner more then they already are.
not that i’m condoning PRStorm … because I’m not … I’ve learned my lesson thank you

There are some good arguments against doing anything in Matt Cutts blog as well.

What software could this be - is it possibly a this one?
Maybe it was the casual way it was written, but WHERE on the university’s site was it injected - the Stats Referral page - CERTAINLY NOT, one of the Webpages ….???!!!

British black-hat SEO who goes by the online handle Earl Grey, but requested that his real name not be used because he could be harassed by anti-spam vigilantes, showed NEWSWEEK one of his tricks. Using an illicit software program he downloaded from the Net, he forcibly injected a link to his own private-detectives referral site onto the site of Long Island’s Stony Brook University.

hey, your life must be verry boring if you have the time to devote a blog on anti-spam. You will NEVER stop spam or even put a dent in it. Get a life, or a man, or a woman, what ever rocks your boat.

Thanks for letting me know about this program. I just bought and downloaded it. Thank you for providing an invaluable service to me. I’m firing it up right now, and about to let her rip…

And he’s lying too. This was his Google search phrase:
