John,
There's a where to report spam page in Ann Elisabeth's wiki. Currently there's not that much on it but I guess it could be easily extended with relevant additions, so this page eventually will become more useful. Though not directly a reward, there's a listing of spam unfriendly services in the same wiki, which is both a valuable High PR link (SEO wise ;-)) and advertisement for them.

Is there a wiki for the purpose of reporting link spam abuses to the target hosts? I think a mob approach would produce results and/or fun. The more the wiki mob is ignored, the more the mob would make menacing noises while flailing pitchforks and torches. If hosting services give good abuse responses, they would be invited to the wiki's village pub for beer and skittles. After all, what's the difference between Dr. Frankenstein's castle and a spammer's safe haven?

This is annoying. In my opinion, Yahoo support is terrible. It's difficult to find a place to report abuse of their facilities and then you get this hassle.

I can't recall the name of the company but I remember one company that would only allow you to report abuse if you were actually a customer of theirs. Wonderful service.

These days I see very few responses to the spam reports I send, and I send a lot of spam reports. It's still nice though every few months to actually receive an email confirming that the report was received and is being handled.

Hola,
This reminds me strongly of one of those forms you have to use to contact the abuse folks since there's no email anywhere as alternative contact method. Nothing wrong with that, unless you find out you've got to select your subject line from a dropdown menu and it doesn't cover anything related to wiki/comment/referrer spam. And if there aren't any headers included the entire creation of yours is likely to end up being redirected to /dev/null without actually being read by someone. At least that's the impression I sometimes get when reporting spam... :-(

Who knows whether these contact forms are working at all? They might as well be only dummies to keep those people quiet who don't accept being spammed. Or they only care if they really have to, eg. if there would be potential legal issues otherwise.
