Short URL spam support
I found this one in my logs:
And yes, it was an affiliate URL, spamvertized.
The owner says outright it’s to hide affiliate links.
Well, how good of you to let us know Google should ban that subfolder.
And here’s another domain for good measure: runurl.com
Matt, you listening?

I don’t think it’s googles responsability to deal with the spam!
http://www.gostubby.com offers short URLs but they push the bar!
Their filters will not allow:
URL redirects
URLs with common spam words
They offer website owners the ability to force previews for their web address.
They offer previews for users!
In the unlikely event a link does get missed they react quickly!
What does all this mean?
It means if they can do that so can tinyurl, goshrink, runurl etc…
It’s not google’s personal responsability to deal with spam issues, it’s theirs!
