Webattacker is popular search term
OMG, I just checked my referrers.
Loads of people accessing my PR storm for sale post.
Turns out they’re searching for Webattacker, that SEW was talking about in a comment.
I THINK the reason is an article in PCmag a few hours ago.
I just hope all those people searching for it are just curious, and don’t intend to USE it!

I am a customer of Rogers/Yahoo! email. I found that I was receiving spam and wanted to stop it. I was instructed to go to the web site Yahoo! provides to get their bulk email filter turned on. I did as was suggested. The spam still kept coming. I used a program that took the email header and used it at a site called whois. This site will provide information as to who owns an IP address. or in this case who truly sent the email. To my surprise it was Yahoo! Broadcast Services 701 First Ave. Sunnyvale California U.S.A. that was sending all the spam. I found out that they block all other spam but if you pay them then they will spam their customers. Seems like it is a lot different than their advertisements where they brag about the “protection” from spam that they provide. I have contacted Rogers my service provider and Yahoo! but both have as yet not responded with more than we will look into it. That by the way is an automated message so take it for what’ it’s worth. The same as the spam protection, free and doesn’t work.

I want to find this out so I can learn about the techniques people use to cause this kind of trouble. I learned how to program in college but no professor would give any sort of guidance towards “hacking” or “spamming”. I feel that most people are behind the curve when dealing with this issue. People who do this, being a script kiddie or a cracker, have the tools and knowledge to promote an attack. The receivers of the attack have to rely on third party vendors to supply us with anti-virus and spyware. At least if we all have the same knowledge we won’t have to pay a third party to keep our systems secure.

google.com/search?hl=en&q=Webattacker
This thread is NOW numbers 2 & 3 for the term Web***r
So, there may be a few more visitors in the future.
But statistically, a percentage of the searchers are probably potential customers. That is the inherent conflict with publicizing something controversial.
On one hand, you want to WARN and EDUCATE people - but on the other hand, you just know…..

If you want to buy WebAttacker, you’re a potential crook. Which means we’d rather keep an eye on you than help you.
