I think the best way to stop blog/wiki/forum/guestbook spam is to not include external links from them while calculating Page Rank. But it requires a change in googlebot and other search engines.
My second thought is that search engines should not count refferring links at all. Web pages should be ranked by it's content and that would cause more fairly competition.

Question:

The top of your page reads:
"Spam my blog and I report your site to Google for banning. You've been warned!"

I've tried this. Seems to be a waste of time or else I am not doing it correctly. I would like to know the best way to get Google and Yahoos's attention and how to report the spammers easily. Is there an automated way to do this?

I've been into "reporting" in you wiki, but did not find the answer there.

Perhaps the spammers have ways of avoiding the authorities, but the one thing they care about is page rank, traffic rank, and link follows, for the spam links.

There must be a way of hitting them below the belt. Once we figure it out, then we need to make a tool that every site can use! I hate the suckers.

Thanks.
